Brian's second swim meet in a 50 meter pool

Go Brian Go!!!  Brian is in the middle wearing the long swim trunks with surfboards on them.  I love his dive!!  I think something happened with his goggles, which is why he kept looking up, but he did a really great job.  Also, this is a 50 meter pool (he usually swims in a 25 yard pool) which means that he only had to swim half the length of the pool to finish his race.  Instead of finishing at a wall they put a rope across at the half way point and the kids end there, it's kind of tough to see the rope, which is another reason why he may have kept looking up.  Oh, and I have NO IDEA why the kid to Brian's right is doing backstroke.  I guess when you're an 8 and under it's easy to forget what race you're suppose to be swimming.  I can't stop laughing!

God is Love

Today while sitting outside with my kids I looked around and thought, "I am so thankful.  I am so blessed to be here on this earth, in this spot,  with my beautiful children."  I didn't want the moment to end.  I decided to lay down and look up at the sky.  My camera (which I always seem to have) was right next to me so I grabbed it and started taking pictures of the clouds.  Almost immediately this heart formed.

Wow! Check out the waves!

Clearly the person taking this video was just a little too excited about the waves at the beach today.   This person needs to get out more.

Rush Hour Jr. - A puzzle for ages 6-8

Kelly is playing a game called "Rush Hour Jr."   The object of the game is to get the ice cream truck (the all white truck on the left) out of the traffic jam, down the road it's on, and out of the puzzle.  You can only move cars/trucks side to side and up and down.  I love watching her figure out how to do it.  Jeff helps out a tiny bit, but she's 3 for crying out loud!  See what she is able tot do!  It's pretty amazing to see a young child's mind at work!

Styrofoam cone cut and carved to look like a tower.

Tower painted purple, with gold "puffy paint" added for top, trim around window, and bricks.

Green puffy paint added for vines.

Silk flowers glued on.

3 cakes of different shapes and sizes layered on top of each other and then frosted.

Tower placed on top of finished cake.  Round candies and green and pink sugar sparkles used for decoration.

A very happy 5 year old girl.  Love you, Kate.  I can't believe you are 5!
