I'm Flattered. No Really, I am.

Brian loves to draw and he's really getting quite good.  I mean, he's in preschool - check out that sun!  He is also doing excellent spelling and his handwriting is very neat.  After I thanked him and hugged him for drawing a picture for me I asked, "Who is this?"  Brian looked at me like I was an idiot for asking and said, "It's you!"  How was I supposed to know?!  He made me brown and gave me no hair.  HOWEVER, I was most concerned about the massive lump of brown on the ground between my legs (wouldn't you be??).  I was afraid to ask (but I did), "What is that brown stuff under me?"  Brian replied, "It's a mud puddle.  You are playing soccer in the mud."  Phew!  I also made the mistake of asking where the bird's wings were (I got another "you idiot" look).  He pointed to the part of the bird that I just thought was a large lower abdominal/butt section.  I felt like I had to spend some time recovering from all the "absurd" questions I had asked so that Brian would know that the picture truly was excellent.  I told him, "Mommy doesn't see so well and that's why I was confused" (I do wear glasses).  He bought it and all was good.  The picture is proudly being displayed on our refrigerator.
